God stands in the congregation of the mighty; He judges among the gods. How long will you judge unjustly, And show partiality to the wicked? Selah Defend the poor and fatherless; Do justice to the afflicted and needy. Deliver the poor and needy; Free them from the hand of the wicked.

Dear Lord Jesus,
Thank You for Your Word. Thank You for the hope we have in Your justice as well as in Your mercy and grace. Lord, I long to see our leaders be people of integrity, honorable before all, standing in the gap between the innocent and the wicked. Lord, I know our leaders are a representation of our choices. You allow those who are a reflection of what the hearts of the people are. Lord, I love my country, it is where You caused me to be born. Please return people’s hearts to truth, goodness, righteousness, and knowledge. Put away these things which legalize destruction of people. Cause a divide to happen in our lives, that we might turn away from wickedness and cling to Your Word. Lord, purge away those things which harm us, those areas which open a door for the enemy. Lord, help each one of us to shun evil and cling to what is good. Please show me if there is anything I am allowing in my life which is allowing the enemy into my thoughts or my heart. Lord, please purify this vessel, that I might be able to serve You in righteousness. Thank You, Jesus. Amen.
