Today’s prayer:

For since the beginning of the world Men have not heard nor perceived by the ear, Nor has the eye seen any God besides You, Who acts for the one who waits for Him.
Isaiah 64:4 NKJV

Dear Lord Jesus,
Thank You for Your Word and the truth within it. Lord, no matter what idols mankind has made-up, You are the only God, there is none other. You made the heavens and the earth by Your Word. You made mankind and each person is created individually by You. Lord, You know the number of hairs on my head! Truly, Your love and compassion are incredible and far beyond my understanding. Lord Jesus, as if all these things were not enough, You emptied Yourself to become God in flesh and allowed Your own creation to convict You of being Yourself and brutally killing You all because we needed You to save us. Wow. My mind and heart can not fully grasp the enormity of this gift, but I thank You and praise You for it! Holy are You, Lord and most worthy of praise! Your life, death, and resurrection is the most amazing gift. Your love is awesome. I love You, Jesus. Amen.

Today’s prayer:

If I regard iniquity in my heart, The Lord will not hear me:
Psalm 66:18 KJV

Dear Lord Jesus,
Thank You for Your Word. Thank You for the warning here. You clearly tell us through scripture that sin separates us from You. You are holy and sin can’t be with You. Yet, Your love made a way to bridge the divide. You died that we might have fellowship with You. Lord, thank You for that! Please help me to understand Your Word and to avoid evil. Lord, I don’t want to harbor sin in my heart nor break down the hedge of protection allowing the enemy in anywhere in anyway. Lord, please continue to build a hedge of protection around us, teach us to recognize the tricks and snares of the enemy. Help us to be on guard against sin. Lord, hold us accountable, that we might not grow prideful and sin against You. Lord, teach us to be humble, to be loving, to be honorable before You. Thank You for Your love and Your ways. Thank You for all You have done and all You are doing. I praise Your holy name, Jesus. I love You! Thank You for first loving me. Amen.

Today’s prayer:

Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the Lord, The Creator of the ends of the earth, Neither faints nor is weary. His understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the weak, And to those who have no might He increases strength.
Isaiah 40:28‭-‬29 NKJV

Dear Lord Jesus,
How great and awesome You are! Your ways are perfect. Your truth is amazing. Your love is beyond understanding. Lord Jesus, we thank You for Your blessings. We look to You for direction. Lord, we wait, humble and patient for Your will, Your Word to guide us. Lord Jesus, we are frail and sinful, often unaware of our selfish motives or ambitious desires. Lord, we fall prey to the enemy and we are snared by our own flesh. Please continue to teach us, that we might avoid evil and not fall into sin. Please speak clearly to our hearts, that we might know the direction and walk in it. Please continue to discipline us, as a good Father, that we might learn to put off the sinful flesh and humble, teachable, obedient. Lord, please continue to show us how You supply all our needs, that we might not waste time in worry. Lord, help us not to be afraid of sudden sorrow, but rather rejoice in daily blessings, worshipping Your holy name in spirit and in truth. I love You, Jesus. Thank You for first loving me. Amen.

Today’s prayer:

Romans 8:26-28 NKJV — Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God. And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

Dear Lord Jesus,
Thank You for Your Word. Thank You that we can rely upon You even when we don’t know how to pray. Lord, please guide and direct us, especially in our prayers, that we might be centered upon You. Please help us to walk with You in all things, surrendering ourselves completely before You. Lord, I lift up the sick, the hurting, the needy, and those held captive. Please touch each one where they are. Bring them comfort through Your Word and security in You. Lord, lift up the discouraged and those who mourn. Please restore joy to the broken, and hope to those who are forlorn. Please protect the innocent, return the prodigal, and save the lost. Lord, let the whole earth be filled with the knowledge of Your glory and the truth of who You are: God Almighty. Thank You, Jesus. Amen.

Today’s prayer:

They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.
Isaiah 11:9 KJV

Dear Lord Jesus,
Thank You for Your Word. Lord, I love these verses which talk about what is to come. My heart swells with emotion when I think about how the whole earth will be filled with the knowledge of You! How I long to see that day. Lord Jesus, until then, I humbly request You continue to use us to be lights that shine brightly in this world. Lord, that our understanding would be of You and Your ways. That our minds would be stayed upon You, not distracted by the cares of this world. Lord Jesus, teach us how to walk with You in integrity and truth, being Your hands and feet, not walking in our own ways or plans but rather that our actions, attitudes, and words flow out of our relationship with You. Lord, be with the fathers, that they might lead as You would, loving You, loving their wives and children as You do, living lives of courage to be mighty men of valor. Lord, please be with the mothers, teaching them how to be filled with discernment, to surrender completely before You, without worry, without trying to do it all, simply following through with the task at hand, honorable, and full of praise, women of prayer. Lord, please be with the children, young and old, guiding, protecting, teaching them about You and the world You created, sustaining them in Your righteousness and comforting them in Your salvation. Lord, for the elderly, the captive, the sick or hurt, please be with them. Let them understand all they truly need is You. Thank You for all Your wonderous works, Jesus! Thank You for salvation! Holy is Your name! Worthy are You of all praise! Thank You for Your promises! I love You! Amen.

Today’s prayer:

Evening and morning and at noon I will pray, and cry aloud, And He shall hear my voice.
Psalms 55:17 NKJV

Dear Lord Jesus.

Holy is Your name! You are our Savior and our Creator. You were there at creation and it was through You all things were created. Lord, I love the story of Genesis, that after each creation You saw that it was good. Lord, I know this world would look so different if it had never known the stains of sin. Mankind would look so different if we had never sinned. Yet, You chose to rescue us from ourselves and paid the price; such a high price! God, please let those who are called by Your name seek You with a whole heart. Let them walk with integrity and be guided by the truth. Let their lives be different, that others might know they belong to You. Lord, I want all these things for myself and my family. Please help us to live for Your glory and all we do. Lord, please supply the widow and the orphan, please protect the innocent, please free the cactus, heal the sick, return the prodigal, and save the lost. Thank You that You alone are my provision, You sustain me, use it by all my needs, and You save me from eternal death! What an awesome and mighty God You are! Thank You. Amen.

Today’s prayer:

But “he who glories, let him glory in the Lord.” For not he who commends himself is approved, but whom the Lord commends.
II Corinthians 10:17‭-‬18 NKJV

Dear Lord Jesus,
Thank You for Your Word. Lord, thank You for this truth. Please help me to walk in such a way as to be commended by You and let me not congratulate myself at all, because on my own I’m nothing, only through You can I follow Your Word and walk in righteousness. Only through the working of the Holy Spirit in me and the applying of Your commandments can I find anything good. Lord Jesus, please keep pride far from me. Put a watch over my mouth that I might not sin against You not others. Place a renewed heart within me, that the overflow would be pleasing before You. Lord, let me rest in Your Word, waiting upon You and not walking in my own ways, but surrendered before You daily. Lord Jesus, please guide my heart, direct my steps, and be glorified in me. For I am not my own, I was bought with a high price and my days are all numbered, each one belongs to You. I love You, Jesus. Thank You. Amen.

Today’s prayer:

Lord, my heart is not haughty, Nor my eyes lofty. Neither do I concern myself with great matters, Nor with things too profound for me. Surely I have calmed and quieted my soul, Like a weaned child with his mother; Like a weaned child is my soul within me. O Israel, hope in the Lord From this time forth and forever.
Psalms 131:1‭-‬3 NKJV

Dear Lord Jesus,

Thank You for Your Word. Thank You for speaking so clearly to us. Lord, thank You for continuing to bring profound truth through Your Word. Lord Jesus, thank You for the peace that surpasses all understanding found in these lines. To sit with You as a young child secure in their parent, just being content to be close. Lord, that is what I want, today. Please help my heart to just sit quietly, to rest in Your Sovereignty, to find peace in Your truth. Lord Jesus, I am a small child who needs the guidance and direction of my Heavenly Father. Thank You for always being good, always trustworthy, always loving. Thank You for the incredible lengths You went to save us. Thank You for Your wondrous works daily. Thank You for loving me. I love You. Amen.

Psalm 4:5 KJV — Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in the LORD.

Dear Lord Jesus,

Thank You for Your Word. Thank You that You have given us clear direction as to what we are to offer as a sacrifice of righteousness. Lord, Your Word and Your life speaks clearly that we are not to live unto ourselves and our selfish desires and ambitions. We are to live in such a way that our actions, attitudes, and words are a reflection of You, Your goodness, Your holiness, Your truth. We are to remember that all we have is not our own, but was given by You and we are merely stewards. For the follower of You, the sacrifice is nothing compared to what You paid to redeem us. Lord Jesus, thank You that in offering sacrifices of righteousness we are better able to trust You, for it is through giving all back into Your hands we find peace in surrender. Lord Jesus, thank You. I give You this day. I give You my concerns and fears. I give You my future. Most of all, I give You all praise and glory, for You are righteous and Your Word is enough. I love You, Jesus. Thank You for first loving me.

Make a joyful shout to the Lord, all you lands! Serve the Lord with gladness; Come before His presence with singing. Know that the Lord, He is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, And His truth endures to all generations.
Psalms 100:1‭-‬5 NKJV

Today’s prayer:

John 16:19 NKJV — Now Jesus knew that they desired to ask Him, and He said to them, “Are you inquiring among yourselves about what I said, ‘A little while, and you will not see Me; and again a little while, and you will see Me’?
John 16:20 NKJV — “Most assuredly, I say to you that you will weep and lament, but the world will rejoice; and you will be sorrowful, but your sorrow will be turned into joy.
Dear Lord Jesus,
Thank You for Your Word. Thank You for Your sacrifice. Thank You for giving us such an incredible gift in Yourself and in Your Word. Thank You that You clearly spoke to Your disciples about what was coming, although they didn’t understand at the time, they did understand after You rose again. Lord Jesus, help each of us to place our faith in You and not to fall away due to unbelief. Lord, I believe in Your Word, in Your truth, in Your promises, please help my unbelief. Grow me in Your righteousness and let faith cover doubt and love replace fear. Lord, make me so like You that people never mistake Your work in me and through me as anything to my credit, let them only glorify You. Thank You for Your love. Thank You for salvation. I love You, Jesus and I praise Your holy name! Amen.
