Today’s prayer:

Psalm 24:1 NKJV — A Psalm of David. The earth is the LORD’s, and all its fullness, The world and those who dwell therein.

Dear Lord Jesus,
Thank You that all is Yours. Every person is Your creation. Every plant, every animal, every part of what we see belongs to You. Lord, my heart is grieved when I look at the consequences of sin upon this beautiful world You created and those who live in it. Yet, I am overwhelmed by Your gift of salvation. You died on a cross to redeem Your creation. Thank You so much! Lord, nothing belongs to me, not my possessions, not my family, not my friends, not even my own life. All are Yours and I trust You to do what is best with each one. Lord, please help me to live completely surrendered to Your Word and Your Holy Spirit each and every day. Lord, please guide and direct me, that I might not sin against You. Lord, to You belong all glory, honor, and praise! I love You and I want to serve You with every breath I take. Please help me to walk with You in integrity and truth. I give You this day and I thank You for it in advance. Amen.

Today’s prayer:

Zephaniah 3:5 NKJV — The LORD is righteous in her midst, He will do no unrighteousness. Every morning He brings His justice to light; He never fails, But the unjust knows no shame.

Dear Lord Jesus,
Thank You for being righteous. Thank You for bringing justice to light. Thank You for never failing. Lord, Your truth is incredible. Your Word is powerful. Your love is what saves us. Thank You for Your sacrifice. Please help us, each one, to focus upon serving You with our actions, our attitudes, and our words. Lord, please help us to be people of integrity, who shun evil and speak truth. Lord, please help us to be lovers of You, not lovers of pleasure. Lord, please keep our minds fixed upon Your truths, Your ways, and Your Sovereignty, for You are the author and finisher of our faith. You alone are worthy of praise, honor, and glory. To You I look. To You I dedicate myself and my day. Thank You, Jesus. Amen.

Though the fig tree may not blossom, Nor fruit be on the vines; Though the labor of the olive may fail, And the fields yield no food; Though the flock may be cut off from the fold, And there be no herd in the stalls— Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation. Habakkuk 3:17‭-‬18 NKJV

Dear Lord Jesus,

Thank You for the faith of these verses. Lord, thank You for the truth so clearly spoken. No matter the circumstances, no matter the lack of what is “necessary”, You are worthy of all our praise. For if we have little or much, it is from You. If we are sick or well, our lives belong to You and we can praise You. If we live or die, our days belong to You. You are the Author of every single one, and we can praise You for each. Then, because of Your salvation, we can praise You in heaven for eternity! Lord, thank You for the truth of these words: “Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation.” Lord, please help us to realize the depth of their meaning and teach us how to live by faith. Lord, my life is Yours. My family is Yours. My friends are Yours. Do with each of us as seems best to You and help us to praise You throughout. Thank You, Jesus. Amen.

Today’s prayer:

May the Lord answer you in the day of trouble; May the name of the God of Jacob defend you; May He send you help from the sanctuary, And strengthen you out of Zion; May He remember all your offerings, And accept your burnt sacrifice. Selah
Psalms 20:1‭-‬3 NKJV

Dear Lord Jesus,
Thank You for Your Word. Lord, I humbly come before You and request these verses, today. Lord, please teach us, grow us, guide us. Please bless us with discernment and wisdom. Lord, for those who are in great danger, please provide for their safety, please restore them to Yourself. Lord, for those trapped in captivity of one form or another, please comfort them. Bring them depth of understanding from Your Word and Your Holy Spirit. Please heal the hurting and provide for the needy. Lord, please return the prodigal and save the lost. Thank You, Jesus, for all You have done and are doing. Thank You for salvation, the best and greatest gift of all. Lord, please help me to shine Your light to those around me Please use my life for Your glory. May the whole Earth be filled with the knowledge of the glory of Your name. Amen.

Today’s prayer:

Isaiah 26:3 KJV — Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

Dear Lord Jesus,

Thank You for Your sacrifice which paid the price for sin. Thank You that it is through Your example we see what love truly is: John 15:13 KJV “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” Lord Jesus, it is because of You we have hope. Lord, as I pause and remember the tragedy of 911, I thank You that we have hope. That our hearts, although grieved, deeply grieved by the attacks, can look to You and find a much bigger picture than what seemed such a senseless act of brutality. It’s the same act we are seeing today around the world. People killing, abusing, and hurting other people. It’s Cain and Able all over again, Lord. Thank You for saving us from this horrible cycle of mankind hurting mankind. Instead, You taught us to love one another, to pray for one another, to do good to our enemies, to live righteously before You and to be wise. You told us to abhor evil and cling to what is good. Lord, when we do not follow these things, when we turn our backs upon Your truth, the consequences are severe: pain, death, tragedy, and it is all because of sin and the enemy of our souls. Lord, please help us to remember that we do not fight against flesh and blood but against principalities and powers, there is a host of demons and they’re out to destroy us. Lord, please help us to choose to live with integrity, honor, loyalty, joy, peace, patience, forgiveness, and love. Lord, help us to look for opportunities to reach out to the hurting, the sick, the abused. Lord, please draw up an army of people who will pray. Lord, please raise up a group of people who will walk as Your twelve disciples did in the generation that condemned You to death. Surely, there was no darker time than when Your own creation chose to crucify You instead of follow You. If those men could live righteously in that day, we can in this. Thank You that we need fear neither man nor demons nor even death, because You died and rose again. You paid the price once and for all. What glorious salvation! What joy! What wonderful hope!Lord Jesus, thank You for Your faithfulness, Your mercy, truth, grace, goodness, Your great salvation! May the whole Earth be filled with the knowledge of the glory of You! Amen.

Today’s prayer:

Habakkuk 2:4 KJV — Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.

Dear Lord Jesus,

Thank You for Your Word. Please Lord, help me to follow this example. Lord, help my heart to realize what it is to live by faith. To be justified before You due to Your sacrifice and to live in complete surrender to Your will, Your Word is what I want to walk in daily. Lord, sometimes I don’t know what that looks like in my daily tasks. Sometimes, I’m lost as to how to apply trusting You in a particular circumstance. Lord, please teach my heart through Your Word how to live by faith. Please show me when I’ve chosen worry over trust, that I might repent and turn away from that. Lord, please keep me from the folly of leaning on my own understanding. In all my ways I want to acknowledge You. For You alone are God, there is none besides You. Lord Jesus, please help the helpless. Lift up the needy, the hurt, the sick, and the abused. Lord, be their defender and their Savior. Let them put off fear of man and put on faith in You. Lord, You alone know what is best and I know we can all cling to You each day and find all our soul’s need. Thank You Jesus. Amen.

Today’s prayer:

Psalm 120:1 KJV — A Song of degrees. In my distress I cried unto the LORD, and he heard me.

Dear Lord Jesus,
Thank You for Your Word. Thank You for Your love, mercy, and faithfulness. Lord Jesus, thank You that we can call upon You. You not only hear, but You respond. Lord, help me to be like You. To not only hear others, but to respond. Lord, as we walk through this season, please continue to touch the hurting, the lost, the captive. Please place Your hand upon the innocent and the helpless. Please stir up those who are able to act upon other’s behalf. Lord, remind us to pray, to seek You, to be in Your Word daily. Lord, for those in places of authority, I humbly request that they be people of integrity, honor, and dignity. That they would do what is right and not deny Your name. That they would be changed from lovers of themselves to lovers of You. Please help those who are doing all they are able to stand in righteousness and are under attack for it. Thank You, Jesus. May Your name be praised throughout our lives, in word and deed. Amen.

Today’s prayer:

2 Samuel 22:31 KJV — As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all them that trust in him.

Dear Lord Jesus,

Thank You for Your Word. Thank You for truth. Your Word is truth and we can place our trust in You at all times. Lord Jesus, I look to You in these troubled times and I praise You for Your mercy. Lord, please let those who know You lean not on their own understanding. Help us to walk in humility and wisdom, listening for Your still small voice. Lord, I think of Elijah and how You met him in the wilderness and supplied all his needs. Lord, help us not to look to government nor jobs nor possessions, but only to You. Lord, please feed the hungry, help the helpless, supply all that is lacking, and save the lost. Lord, please help truth be seen and recognized, even if it is despised. Let it be obvious to the world that wickedness is to be abhorred. Lord, please help us to cling to what is good and praise You through all things, for naked we are born and naked we die. Blessed is the name of the Lord! Amen.

Today’s prayer:

Jeremiah 10:23 NKJV — O LORD, I know the way of man is not in himself; It is not in man who walks to direct his own steps.

Dear Lord Jesus,

Thank You for Your faithfulness! Thank You for salvation. Lord, if only we could live with the knowledge that it is not in us to direct our own steps. But humility does not come naturally. Lord, please help us to be humble before You, understanding this truth. You created us. You know how You made us. We need You in every part of our lives. Lord, please direct us in Your ways. Lord, please help us to live with understanding, humility, and wisdom. Lord, please help us to see from Your perspective, that our eyes might be fixed on You. Lord, please help us not to be caught up in strife, but to live in peace, secure in Your salvation. Lord, please let us not hold tightly to the things of this world, but instead hold tightly to You and Your Word. Lord Jesus, I love You and I lift up those who are hurting, experiencing terrible tragedies and loss. Lord, for the sick, the helpless, those who are without hope, please touch them where they are. Please supply all they need and shine Your truth into their lives. For You alone are God. There is none like You, Maker of Heaven and Earth! Amen.

September 6

Today’s prayer:

Nehemiah 9:6 NKJV — You alone are the LORD; You have made heaven, The heaven of heavens, with all their host, The earth and everything on it, The seas and all that is in them, And You preserve them all. The host of heaven worships You.

Dear Lord Jesus,
How great and merciful You are! Your wonders never cease. Your love is incredible. Lord, thank You so much for Your provision and faithfulness. We are Yours, You made us and saved us. Please continue to reach those in need, to help the helpless. Lord, please continue to shine Your light into this dark world. Father, we know, nothing is hidden from You, please help us learn to trust You like never before. Lord, please help us to live in Your wisdom, redeeming the time, for the days are evil. Thank You so much for all Your wonderous works! May we learn from Job to praise You in every circumstance. I love You, Lord. Amen.
