Only take heed to yourself, and diligently keep yourself, lest you forget the things your eyes have seen, and lest they depart from your heart all the days of your life. And teach them to your children and your grandchildren, Deuteronomy 4:9 NKJV
Dear Lord Jesus, Thank You for truth. Lord, please help those who are called by Your name to walk in Your ways. Lord, help each of us to take heed to ourselves. To be diligent with our relationship with You. Please help me to be diligent. Lord, help each of us to be servants before You, humble and grateful. Lord, help us teach our children and our grandchildren about You. Please Lord, let each and every one of us learn to love as You do. Lord, I believe, help me with my unbelief, help me trust You more, help me rest in Your peace, please help me let go of expectations and simply love You. Lord Jesus, I trust You with all things. Lord, I realize that my perspective is very limited and instead of looking at circumstances, I will look to You. I praise You, Lord, for You are worthy of all praise. Thank You, Jesus for everything! Amen.
When He had called the people to Himself, with His disciples also, He said to them, “Whoever desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel’s will save it. For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him the Son of Man also will be ashamed when He comes in the glory of His Father with the holy angels.” Mark 8:34-38 NKJV
Dear Lord Jesus, Thank You for Your Word. Thank You for truth. Lord, I never want to be ashamed of You, nor do I want You to be ashamed of me. Lord, I want to live as losing this life and gaining eternal life with You in heaven. Lord Jesus, it is not easy to understand how to handle each circumstance, but I thank You for showing me the way. Thank You for always being faithful and walking with me through it all. Thank You for shining Your light of truth into my life. Lord, not my will be done, but Thine. Teach me what Your plans are for today and help me not grow too eager to look into tomorrow, for each day has enough trouble of it’s own. Thank You for always being my safety and refuge in times of trouble. Lord, please help me to trust You with everything today. Thank You for Your unending love. Amen.
Now may the God of patience and comfort grant you to be like-minded toward one another, according to Christ Jesus, Romans 15:5 NKJV
Dear Lord Jesus,
Thank You. These words are encouraging. Please let it be so. Let Your church be of one mind. Let the church be unified and pure before You. Lord Jesus, reveal Yourself to each of us, that we might see and know You personally, that our lives might be purified by Your Holy Spirit. Lord Jesus, hold us in Your hands and teach us from Your Word. Let Your light so shine among us that we repent from everything which is contrary to Your Spirit. Lord, make us like Yourself. Lord Jesus, make me into Your image. Please continue to teach me humility, honor, and truth. My life is Yours, do with me as You will. Thank You for Your faithfulness. Thank You for Your love. Amen.
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. Psalms 23:1 NKJV
Dear Lord Jesus,
Thank You so much for this verse. There is such peace and security in it. You truly are the Good Shepherd and You have cared for and provided for me in so many ways. I am so grateful and humbled by Your never-ending love. Lord Jesus, You alone are my strength and security. In You I find all that I need: peace, love, joy, patience, goodness, kindness, understanding, and eternal life. Lord, there are many things I do not understand, but I praise You that You are using all things for Your glory. Lord Jesus, for those who are suffering, please bring them comfort. Lord, for those who are afraid or in bondage, please bring healing and freedom. Lord, for those who are piercing themselves through with many sorrows, trying to fulfill their own salvation, please bring them to the truth. Soften the hearts and return those who know of You to a right relationship with You. Lord, for those who have yet to know You, please open their eyes that they might see, open their ears that they might hear, let the truth be planted in fruitful ground. Please, Lord, put godly men and women into places of authority. Let those who are in positions of leadership be honorable before You. Please do not allow anyone to use their authority to harm others. May our lives and the lives of those who are called by Your name, be honorable before You. Please be glorified in us. Lord Jesus, thank You for being my all. Thank You for blessing me in so many ways. Lord, thank You for shining Your truth into my life. Please continue to hone my heart into Your image. I love You, Jesus. Thank You. Amen.
For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6:12 NKJV
Dear Lord Jesus, Thank You for Your Word. Thank You for reminding us of this truth. It is easy to forget about the spiritual battle and get distracted with the things going on in front of us. Lord Jesus, we acknowledge there is a spiritual battle going on and we lift up to You praise, honor, and glory that You have defeated the enemy! We praise Your holy name, Jesus. You paid the price at Calvary! Thank You for the victory over sin and death! Thank You for Your sacrifice, which cleanses us! Thank You for Your love, which is everlasting! Lord Jesus, Your name is above all other names! You are great and greatly to be praised! You have made a way, when there seemed to be no way. You provided when there seemed to be nothing. Thank You! May take whole Earth be filled with the knowledge of You! Praise the Lord!
Blessed are the undefiled in the way, Who walk in the law of the Lord ! Blessed are those who keep His testimonies, Who seek Him with the whole heart! They also do no iniquity; They walk in His ways. Psalms 119:1-3 NKJV
Dear Lord Jesus, Thank You for Your Word. Thank You for these verses. Lord, I humbly request that the hearts of the people would return to You, that we would see a true softening of the heart. That the eyes would be opened, the ears would be opened, and the truth would be seen. Lord, restore the family. Let husbands love their wives and their children. Let wives respect their husbands. Let them love them and their children. Lord, let us be full of wisdom from Your Word, not seeking man’s wisdom, but seeking it from You. Lord, please fill us with Your Holy Spirit. Convict us of sin that we might repent. Please help us to walk forward into Your perfect truth today. Lord, please be with our leaders. Please raise up people who love and honor You and put them in authority over us. Let it be obvious that only through You can we find peace. Thank You. Amen.
2 Chronicles 7:14 KJV — If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
Dear Lord Jesus,
Thank You for Your mercy and grace. Thank You for the hope we find in these words. Lord Jesus, our nation and many others are suffering. People are frightened, hurting, lost, broken, discouraged. Lord, You know much of this we have done to ourselves. We have chosen to follow after other things rather than You and Your Word. We have allowed the innocent to be killed, we have called evil entertainment, we have not been faithful to you or to each other we have washed our hands, claiming nothing we do is wrong. Lord Jesus, this morning let our hearts be humble before You. Lord, let each one acknowledge their sin and repent, starting with me. Lord, please cleanse our churches, our homes, our lives from the impurities and poison of sin. Lord, please let our hearts be completely Yours. Please let our lives be restored to correct priorities and proper respect for You and one another. Lord, please heal our land. Please bring us back to Yourself, that the world may know You are God alone. Thank You. Amen.
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. Romans 12:1 NKJV
Dear Lord Jesus, Thank You for Your Word. Thank You for the guidance and wisdom we find in Your Word. Your ways are perfect and Your Word is truth. Lord Jesus, we know You have a perfect plan for today and that You are going to be with us throughout. Please help us to listen to Your voice, to obey Your Word. Lord, let our hearts not be hard, but soft and humble. Lord, let our words be praise and thanksgiving. Lord, please shine Your light into our day and shine through us to others. Please, touch the hurting and heal the sick. Lord, bring back the captive and the wayward. Lord, please break the chains of addiction and idolatry. Lord Jesus, shine Your light and save the lost. Let the whole Earth be filled with Your glory. Amen.
Dear Reader, please understand that this post is extremely difficult for me to publish as it is very personal. My prayer time with the Father is not something I like or want to share for so many reasons. However, I must obey the Lord. In no way are my prayers meant to teach any specific theology or to declare a form that works or in anyway be an example. It is simply my time with Jesus and I hope you can respect the privacy that I’m sharing with you. God bless.💗
“Good morning, Lord.”
Good morning, Little one. I know, you are weary.
“Yes, Lord, I am.”
“Jesus, please fix me, my attitude is poor, my body is cranky, my mind is fuzzy. I’m a mess. I need Your strength to do home school, to pray for others, to smile at my family. I’m empty, please fill me up.”
Child, why are you empty? Or are you?
“You’re right. I’m not.”
What you are is Mine.
“Yes, Lord. Please forgive me. I allowed my emotions and my physical to crowd out the truth. Thank You for reminding me.”
I love you. I am with you.
“Yes, Lord. Thank You, so much. Jesus, please guide me as to what Your will is today.”
I will. I am. Don’t forget to praise.
“Yes, Jesus! What a blessing and what joy to glorify Your name! Lord Jesus, You alone are worthy of all praise. You are incredible! You give me breath, life, food, all that I need. You have blessed me with family and friends and a place to live and clothes to wear. Thank You! God, how awesome is Your name! How precious are Your ways! You alone are worthy of all praise! Jesus, I so much want others to be able to enjoy the relationship You are wanting to have with each one. Please open the hearts and minds of those who have yet to know You. Please deepen the walk of those who already know You. Lord, please don’t let us simply know about You, and then go our own way, please let us walk with You in all things.”
“Lord Jesus, there is so much hurt, loss, and fear right now and I know You understand the hurting far better than anyone. You see the heart. You love more than we can ever have the capacity to love. I also know that I can trust You in all of this. I don’t understand all that You are doing, but I know You are.”
Yes child, I know. Trust Me and pray.
“Lord, thank You for all Your wonderous works. Whether we see them or understand them, I know You are working. Lord Jesus, please heal the hurting and the sick. Lord touch the hearts. Please, soften the bitter. Open those spiritual eyes who have grown dim or blind to truth. Unstop the ears, let Your truth be heard. Shut the mouth of violence. Stop the ways of wickedness. Put an end to harming the innocent. Please strengthen the feeble. Please protect those who are doing what is right. Please guard those who are risking themselves for others. Please put Your hand on those who have lost a loved one in the line of duty. God, put an end to hate between people. The only thing we should hate is evil. Lord, please raise up leaders who are people of integrity, honor, and truth. Please let fathers be responsible, loving, kind. Men who do what is right each and every day. Men who love their wives, work hard, provide for their families, lead the home in teaching and worshipping You. Lord, please let the men of this country be Mighty Men of Valor, able in word and deed. Men who love to serve You and those around them. Not vulgar, not addicted, not lazy, not angry, but full of peace, love, integrity, and truth: Your Word. Lord, please let women be praying for their husbands, their children, their communities, their homes. Let us be steadfast in caring for our families and our friends. Lord, let us raise our children to know You, to be honorable, to be humble. Lord, please help us women to be full of virtue, not lazy, not addicted, not bitter, not angry, not depressed, not held down by lies. Lord Jesus, please let us be Women of Worth. Please whatever the task at hand let us do it with all our might, in love, in service, in gentleness and kindness. Lord, raise up women who will speak the truth with love to those around them. Women who lovingly serve no matter the personal cost. Women who support and exhort their husbands and their children. Women who love You more than life itself. Lord, there is so much more. Thank You so much for loving us. Thank You for salvation. Thank You for Your Word. Thank You for Your faithfulness. Thank You for Your unwavering support. Jesus, I love You. May Your name be glorified throughout the whole Earth.”
I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine making request for you all with joy, for your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now, Philippians 1:3-5 NKJV
Dear Lord Jesus, Thank You for my family and friends. Thank You for these dear people who join together in belief and love of You, Jesus. Please continue to guide and direct each one of us. Help our hearts to remain steadfast before You. Help our eyes to see You and our ears to hear You. Lord, please remove anything which would hinder our personal relationship with You. Show us our sin, that we might repent and turn to You. Show us our priorities and passions, that we might be able to keep You on the throne of our hearts. Lord, please let us put off the old man and walk forward into Your righteousness daily. Lord Jesus, whatever You call us to, whatever the day holds please let us not stop praising You, let us not look away from You. Lord, please protect our firemen and Emergency workers. Please heal the sick and hurting. Lord, please restore the lost and comfort those who are displaced. Let our hearts be knit to Yours. Thank You Jesus for all You have done and are doing. Amen.
