Psalm 27:8 NKJV — When You said, “Seek My face,” My heart said to You, “Your face, LORD, I will seek.”

Dear Lord Jesus,

Thank You for loving us so much that You died to bridge the gap between us created by our sin. Lord, You are faithful, true, just, right, holy, lovely, and kind. Thank You for Your goodness. Thank You for Your Word. It is true and in it is life. Lord Jesus, great is Your name and greatly to be praised. Lord, wipe away anything which would hinder our ability to seek You today. Lord, wash us clean from the stains of sin and our own flesh. Thank You for all Your wonderous works on our behalf. Lord, thank You for all You have done, are doing, and will do. Please help the helpless, provide for the needy, defend the fatherless and orphan, protect the innocent, thwart the enemy, return the prodigal, and save the lost. Lord, please fill our hearts with Your love, our minds with Your Word, and our mouths with Your praise! Thank You, Jesus. Amen.

Joel 3:10 KJV — Beat your plowshares into swords, and your pruninghooks into spears: let the weak say, I am strong.

Nehemiah 8:10 NKJV — Then he said to them, “Go your way, eat the fat, drink the sweet, and send portions to those for whom nothing is prepared; for this day is holy to our Lord. Do not sorrow, for the joy of the LORD is your strength.”

Dear Lord Jesus,
Thank You for Your faithfulness. Thank You for Your Word. Lord, great is Your name and greatly to be praised. Lord, let the weak say they are strong, because Your joy is their strength. Lord, let the weak say they are strong because You are our refuge and strength. Lord, let the weak say they are strong, because through Your sacrifice we are saved. Only in You can we truly find strength. Only in Your Word can we understand what true strength is. Lord, You never intended one person to use their physical strength to their own advantage at the cost of others. You intend those who are strong to protect the weak, to provide for the helpless, to use the gift You’ve given to bring You glory, honor, and praise. Anything we can do is a gift from You. Lord, thank You for sustaining us each day. Thank You for Your wonderful works. Thank You for Your continuing love and care. Lord, let those who are called by Your name be faithful, people of integrity, devoted to You, and diligent in following after You. That they might use their strength to honor You and help others. That is why we need to be strong, because it is not easy to do right. Lord Jesus, You gave all to save us from our sins, please help us to daily give all unto You. Lord, please strengthen the weak. Give men and women who are called by Your name the strength to do what it right. Let them choose You. Help me to always choose You first. Lord, please help me to be strong in Your joy and in Your Word. Help me to fully trust in You and to be wholeheartedly devoted to You in all things. In my weakness, let it be known that You are strong. Thank You, Jesus. Amen.

Joshua 1:9 NKJV — “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.”

Dear Lord Jesus,
Thank You for these words to Joshua. Thank You for Your faithfulness to the children of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Lord, thank You for the stories of so many people, people we can learn from by reading about them in Your Word. Lord, today I humbly request Your provision. There is such great need all around. Lord, people need You and the knowledge of Your salvation. Lord Jesus, please continue to provide for each one’s needs. Help those who are walking in ways contrary to Your laws to realize it and repent. Lord, please release the captive, those in prison for their faith in You, those trapped by addiction, abuse, and lies. Lord, please shine Your Word into our hearts and minds and help us to clearly understand You and Your Word. Lord, please supply the needs, that each of us might look to You with thankful hearts daily. If there is anything which is standing in the way between us and You, please remove it. Lord, please purify us and remove the dross. Thank You for Your Word, Your faithfulness, and Your love. Lord, You are amazing and I praise Your holy name! Amen.

Ephesians 5:22 KJV — Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.

1 Timothy 3:11 KJV — Even so must their wives be grave, not slanderers, sober, faithful in all things.

1 Peter 3:1 KJV — Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives;

Dear Lord Jesus,

Thank You for Your Word. Thank You that there is so much in scripture to guide and direct those who are women. Lord, oftentimes we find it offensive, the words in scripture, but Lord, I know we can trust You with every part of our lives. Too frequent, it is not Your Word at fault but our misunderstanding of it or how to apply it. Lord, You are loving, merciful, gracious, kind, gentle, full of compassion and patience. Help each of us ladies, married or not, to follow You and to live unto You in all things. Help us to be sober, hardworking, thoughtful, caring, diligent, and looking for opportunities to bless those around us. Lord, keep us from the snares of the enemy, lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes, and the pride of life. Lord, help us to be godly examples to other young ladies. To exhort and encourage girls to be devoted to God and not focused on men. Lord, please help our speech to be honorable before You, clean, wholesome, uplifting, and full of praise. Lord, please help us to take prayer seriously. To be diligent in seeking Your face and Your Word for ourselves and others. Lord Jesus, please make us a generation of women known for our good works, our love of our families, and our devotion to You. Thank You Jesus! Amen.

LORD , who shall abide in thy tabernacle? Who shall dwell in thy holy hill? He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart. He that backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbour, Nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour. In whose eyes a vile person is contemned; But he honoureth them that fear the LORD . He that sweareth to his own hurt, and changeth not. He that putteth not out his money to usury, Nor taketh reward against the innocent. He that doeth these things shall never be moved. Psalm 15:1‭-‬5 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/psa.15.1-5.KJV

Dear Lord Jesus,

Thank You for Psalm 15. Lord Jesus, thank You for giving us such clear guidance in Your Word. Lord, I humbly stand before You on behalf of my husband and my sons. Lord, please teach them to be men of God, men who dwell with You. Lord, help them to choose righteousness and to speak the truth in their hearts. Lord, reveal anything which is there and is a lie. Uncover an tricks or false thinking which the enemy has ensnared them with. Lord Jesus, purify them, that they might seek You first, most, and best. Remove fear, anger, and anything which would lead them to be self-centered. Lord, guard their hearts from the ways of this world, protect them from the lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh, and the pride of life. Lord Jesus, it is through attacks on our men the enemy breaks down our protection. Please place a hedge around them and give them strength, courage, understanding, integrity, and honor. Please let Your Word dwell in their hearts and minds. Thank You for each and every single one of them. Thank You for Your faithfulness and love. Thank You for creating each of us unique, gifted, and blessed to be one-of-a- kind, yet we need each other and we need You. Thank You for that! Amen.

Loving my neighbor; April 24

Leviticus 19:18 NKJV — ‘You shall not take vengeance, nor bear any grudge against the children of your people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself: I am the LORD.

Zechariah 8:17 NKJV — Let none of you think evil in your heart against your neighbor; And do not love a false oath. For all these are things that I hate,’ Says the LORD.”

Matthew 19:19 NKJV — ‘Honor your father and your mother,’ and, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ ”

Dear Lord Jesus,

Thank You for Your Word. Lord, I lift up our neighbors to You. Lord, I do not know each person. I’m unaware of most of the every day things. Lord, You know what each person is dealing with. Lord, You know what each one needs. Lord, for those things I am aware of I stand in the gap for them. Lord, for the family whose house was damage by water, please provide all they need to be able to repair it. Lord, for the family struggling with illness and fear, please bring them peace, let them find their strength in You. Help them to find hope in You. Lord, for the family who have just moved, please help them to feel at home and to find rest here. Lord, build relationships and provide for this transition. Lord, for the elderly, please protect them from those who would try to take advantage of their frailty or ignorance of this day and age. Lord, supply them with help. For the marriages, Lord let them be devoted to one another, supporting and encouraging each other. Let them think of their spouse before their own needs and desires. Please help these marriages to be built upon Your solid foundation. Lord, for the children, please keep them from evil. Watch over them and provide for them. Help them to learn about You and to find security in Your salvation. Thank You for our neighbors. Amen.

Micah 6:8 NKJV — He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the LORD require of you But to do justly, To love mercy, And to walk humbly with your God?

Dear Lord Jesus,

Thank You for Your Word. Thank You for making it clear what You want for us daily, to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with You. Lord, thank You, for Your Word is life! Please, teach me daily how to live righteously before You. That my words, my deeds, and my thoughts might align with Your Word and Your will. Lord, please guide our family, and help us to see Your truth and to obey it. To walk with integrity before You. Lord Jesus, thank You for providing for the needy, healing the sick, saving the lost, returning the prodigal, and protecting the innocent. Lord, in this world we will have trouble, but we know we can look to You and trust Your Word. You give us life. Thank You! You give us salvation. Thank You! You give us a home in heaven which we could never earn. Thank You! Lord, for those things we are walking and trusting You in today, please help us to never stop praising You! For You know what is best and our lives are safe in Your hands no matter the circumstances. I love You, Jesus. Thank You for first loving me! Amen.

Malachi 1:11 NKJV — For from the rising of the sun, even to its going down, My name shall be great among the Gentiles; In every place incense shall be offered to My name, And a pure offering; For My name shall be great among the nations,” Says the LORD of hosts.

Dear Lord Jesus,

Thank You for Your love. Thank You for shining Your truth beyond one area of the world or one time. Thank You that You came to save the world from their sins. Thank You that we can offer the incense of praise and prayer to You all day, every day. Lord Jesus, please purify our hearts and minds that we might not sin against You. Lord, please help us to live unto You in all things, that those around us may know the truth of Your love and salvation. Lord, please open Your Word to us, help us to learn daily from it, that we might walk in Your ways, without adding or taking away from it. Lord, bring us a clear understanding of You, not filtered by our sin, not tainted by other’s, not twisted by the enemy. Please speak clearly to our hearts and minds, that we might walk in Your ways and be guided by You in all things. Lord, sometimes I struggle with fear, failure, and doubt. Sometimes I’m stubborn, bitter, and angry. Lord, in those times please help me to be obedient to Your truth. To walk in Your ways and to be self-controlled. Thank You for Your patience with me. Thank You so much for Your love. Lord, thank You for Your faithfulness, mercy, and grace. I love You, Jesus. Amen.

A week of prayer

Good day!

I wanted to write and let you know that for the next seven days, beginning tomorrow, I’m going to simply post my daily prayer and scripture.

Sunday I normally post this, but I feel the need to set aside a week.

Many things have been occurring in my life.

My health has been a bit more trying lately.

And in times of stretching, I find I need so much more time with the Lord.

So, instead of blogging, I’ll be praying.

I hope you will join me.

Also, please feel free to let me know of anything I can pray for you.

It’s a pleasure to lift others in prayer.

Ezekiel 22:30 KJV — And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.

Dear Lord Jesus,

Thank You for today. Thank You, that You want us to stand in the gap for others. To lift up our friends, family, neighbors, and even our enemies in prayer. Lord, thank You for speaking so clearly through Your Word. I do not understand everything, but I thank You for what I do understand and I praise You for what You have taught me. Lord Jesus, I am lifting up my husband today. Please be with him and help him. Lord, please provide for all he needs and shine through him to those around him. Help him be the man of God, You created him to be. Place a guard around him and keep him from the snares of the enemy. Lord, I lift up our children. Please speak with and guide each one. Let their hearts cling to You alone. Watch over them and help their Dad and I to encourage and be a godly example both of people who love You and of people who live one another. Lord, I lift up the sick, the hurting, the needy, the broken, the fatherless, the helpless, and the hopeless. Please, touch each where they are. Bring them closer to Yourself through their circumstances. Let them turn away from anything which would come between them and You. Thank You Jesus for Your faithfulness, mercy, grace, and love! You are incredible! I love You. Amen.

Today’s prayer:

Proverbs 17:17 KJV — A friend loveth at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.

Dear Lord Jesus,
Thank You for friendship. Thank You that You are the best friend we can ever have. Thank You for friends inside the body of Christ. Thank You for those brothers and sisters who are so faithful, caring, long lasting, and full of love. Lord, thank You for how You work through others to touch us. Please help us, help me, to be a friend like You are. Please help me to be a friend who loves at all times. Lord, help me to see the sin, but love the sinner well. To speak Your truth and to let no unwholesome talk out if my mouth, but only that which will build up those who listen. Lord, please help me to stand before You in prayer for others. Help me to know how to pray. Lord, please bless them, provide for them, walk with them, guide and protect them. Help them to live daily unto You in all they do and all they are. Bless others through them. Thank You for each and every one. Lord, thank You for Your love. Thank You for friendship. May we serve side by side to be used to bring glory to Your name. I love You, Jesus. Amen.
