“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not evil, to give you a future and a hope.” Jer. 29:11
What joy to read the Creator wants to give us a future!
God is not uncaring, unfeeling, thoughtless or distant.
He’s aware of each of us and wants to give us peace, a future and a hope.
He goes on.
“Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. ” Jer. 29:12-13
It is far more important than we can imagine,
this seeking Him.
Time spent in prayer and listening for Him is valuable.
Like any human relationship it requires time, effort, attention and so it is when walking with the Lord.
He makes it clear,
He wants to have a relationship with us.
He wants to walk with us through the ups and downs of life in a fallen world.
He wants us to follow His laws and His commands because great blessing come from obedience.
Seeking God is rarely easy, for the world and our flesh is always crying out to do what we feel, grasp for what we can get, live for the moment uncaring of who is hurt or what may come.
Those things lead to broken battered damaged people and lives.
So we must hold fast to the truths of love, obedience, and seek God each and every day.
No hiding from God,
just seek Him,
today.
