Today’s prayer:

Isaiah 42:8 NKJV — I am the LORD, that is My name; And My glory I will not give to another, Nor My praise to carved images.

Dear Lord Jesus,
Thank You for Your Word. Thank You, for You are the One and only God. Your ways are right. Your judgement true. You stand in for the helpless and the persecuted. You defend the fatherless and the widow. You bring rain and water the ground. You feed the wild animals and the needy. Your hands are full of good and there is no evil around You. Lord, You deserve all praise, all honor, all glory. For You made the Sun and Moon. You placed the stars and set everything in order. You gave breath to all mankind. Let Your glory be known and Your goodness be revealed. Please let the hearts of the people be drawn to You. Thank You, Lord, for salvation. Thank You for life. I praise You this day, Jesus. Amen.

Today’s prayer.

Blessed are the undefiled in the way, Who walk in the law of the Lord ! Blessed are those who keep His testimonies, Who seek Him with the whole heart! They also do no iniquity; They walk in His ways.
Psalms 119:1‭-‬3 NKJV

Dear Lord Jesus,
Thank You for Your Word. Thank You for these verses. Lord, I humbly request that the hearts of the people would return to You, that we would see a true softening of the heart. That the eyes would be opened, the ears would be opened, and the truth would be seen. Lord, restore the family. Let husbands love their wives and their children. Let wives respect their husbands. Let them love them and their children. Lord, let us be full of wisdom from Your Word, not seeking man’s wisdom, but seeking it from You. Lord, please fill us with Your Holy Spirit. Convict us of sin that we might repent. Please help us to walk forward into Your perfect truth today. Lord, please be with our leaders. Please raise up people who love and honor You and put them in authority over us. Let it be obvious that only through You can we find peace. Thank You. Amen.

Sitting in the brisk air.

Surveying the beauty.

Just listening.

“Make me understand the way of Your precepts; So shall I meditate on Your wonderful works.” Ps. 119: 27

Without the Word, and knowledge of God’s law it is easy to miss the blessings He has bestowed.

How long is the list of blessings?

Thank You, Father, for

life
home
husband
children
family
income
nature
clean water
clothes
shoes
safety
cars
schools
books
poetry
the right to vote
church family
history that speaks of Your mercies
flowers
friends
computers
phones
memories
photographs
shampoo and conditioner
(thanks for clean hair!)
movies
music
instruments
music teachers
sports
good coaches
soft comfy blankets
bed that doesn’t hurt the back
fireplaces
fire wood
the Bible…

The list goes on and on.

Yet without
meditation,
reflection,
it might all be taken for granted.

How sad to miss the tiny blessings and gifts.

It takes effort,
but looking past the wants into the
manifolds of already have is truly a
chance to live in peace.

For thankfulness and peace live together with joy.
