Faithful

Deuteronomy 7:9 NKJV — “Therefore know that the LORD your God, He is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and mercy for a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments;

None is faithful like the LORD.

His Word is truth and speaks clearly.

Psalm 119:138 NKJV — Your testimonies, which You have commanded, Are righteous and very faithful.

For God’s ways are pure and His faithfulness is amazing.

1 Corinthians 1:9 NKJV — God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

What a gift to be granted salvation through Christ Jesus!

1 John 1:9 NKJV — If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

How wonderful to know that the Lord is faithful to do all He has promised.

Hebrews 10:23 NKJV — Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.

With this same knowledge of God’s faithfulness, we are called to be faithful to Him and to follow His Word.

Luke 16:10 NKJV — “He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much; and he who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much.”

For those who remain steadfast in following the Lord, great is the reward.

Matthew 25:23 NKJV — “His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’”

Truly, nothing on earth compares to the reward of hearing the Master say, “Well done, good and faithful servant”.

Thus, we need to remember the faithfulness of God and choose to be faithful as well.

No, it will not always be easy, but God’s promises cover that as well.

2 Thessalonians 3:2-3 NKJV And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men; for not all have faith. But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one.

No matter the circumstances, His Word is true.

One can live according to His Word and find peace in knowing God is faithful.

1 Thessalonians 5:23-24 NKJV — Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it.

Dear Lord Jesus,

Thank You so much for Your faithfulness! What an incredible gift You give in salvation, in Your truth, and in Your love. Lord Jesus, You have done so much and are still working, thank You! Please continue to help me to follow You in all things. Lord, please help me to be faithful in little so I will be faithful in much. Lord, help me to be humble and to quickly confess sin and wrong doing that I might not walk in those things. Lord, please purify my heart, that I might live wholeheartedly unto You. Thank You, Jesus. Amen.

Obedience is better…

1 Samuel 15:22 NKJV — So Samuel said: “Has the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, As in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, And to heed than the fat of rams.”

Here we see Samuel answering King Saul.

God had spoken directly to Samuel and the instruction was clear, King Saul was to go and wipe out the enemy.

But King Saul decided God’s command wasn’t the best way and proceeded to keep back the best animals.

When questioned by Samuel his response shows his heart.

Then Samuel went to Saul, and Saul said to him, “Blessed are you of the LORD! I have performed the commandment of the LORD.”

He had not obeyed, but instead done what he thought was best.

Samuel wasn’t going to allow even the king to transgress the command of the Lord.

1 Samuel 15:14 NKJV — But Samuel said, “What then is this bleating of the sheep in my ears, and the lowing of the oxen which I hear?”

And when called to account King Saul doesn’t humble himself.

1 Samuel 15:15 NKJV — And Saul said, “They have brought them from the Amalekites; for the people spared the best of the sheep and the oxen, to sacrifice to the LORD your God; and the rest we have utterly destroyed.”

It is here Samuel speaks the verse which can be applied to every heart:

“…Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, And to heed than the fat of rams.” 1 Samuel 15:22b

God wants our hearts to be so devoted to Him that obedience is our first choice.

The Lord expands this idea by speaking through the prophet Hosea.

Hosea 6:6 NKJV — For I desire mercy and not sacrifice, And the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.

To be a follower of God, one is to reflect God in their own lives, their attitudes and actions.

God is merciful and He wants us to be merciful as well.

God is loving and He wants us to be loving.

God teaches us through His Word, because through it we are given the instruction on how to live as He designed us and He wants us to follow and teach others.

God became flesh and dwelt among us to teach us and to give us an example for our everyday.

He wants us to follow Him.

Matthew 12:7 NKJV — “But if you had known what this means, ‘I desire mercy and not sacrifice,’ you would not have condemned the guiltless.

Matthew 9:13 KJV — But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

May we each one be inspired to obedience and mercy as well as sacrifice.

Dear Lord Jesus,

Thank You for Your Word. Thank You for Your example to each one of us. Thank You for loving us so deeply that You paid the price for our sins. Lord Jesus, please help me to learn from Your Word each day. To understand the truths of scripture. Please help me to obey Your Word, to walk in mercy and knowledge of You. Lord, You do not want hollow service which has no substance. You want true devotion of the innermost. I want to give You that, every day. Please help me to do so, whatever it costs. Thank You, Jesus. I love You. Amen.

Let all…

Ephesians 4:31 NKJV — Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice.

“Let all …”

And His Word is clear, there’s no room for any.

None, nothing, not even a little bit, because He knows what is best and bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking are not.

Because bitterness is simply choosing not to forgive, holding someone accountable for wrong.

Wrath and anger are close cousins.

The Greek word wrath here means fierceness, indignation, wrath, while this Greek word for anger means anger, indignation, vengeance, wrath.

James 1:20 NKJV — for the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God.

Ecclesiastes 7:9 NKJV — Do not hasten in your spirit to be angry, For anger rests in the bosom of fools.

Clamor and evil speaking seem to be occurring at a startlingly rate, anyone can observe it’s not godly.

Proverbs 29:22 NKJV — An angry man stirs up strife, And a furious man abounds in transgression.

Proverbs 10:18 KJV — He that hideth hatred with lying lips, and he that uttereth a slander, is a fool.

Instead of these things we are to put on different behaviors, ones that spring forth from a heart forgiven by and surrendered to Christ Jesus.

Ephesians 4:32 NKJV — And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.

Kindness and tenderhearted, priceless gifts to be given and to receive.

Luke 6:35 KJV — But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for He is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.

Matthew 6:14 KJV — For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:

Following Jesus means forgiveness.

Acts 4:12 NKJV — “Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”

For none gave more to forgive than He.

Hebrews 10:10 NKJV — By that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

Learning to walk in forgiveness is always an opportunity to trust God in everything and to grow, to stretch, to see life and others from His perspective.

Ephesians 5:1-2 NKJV — Therefore be imitators of God as dear children. And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.

Dear Lord Jesus,

Thank You for these verses. Lord, I want to live a life of sacrifice unto You. I want my life to be pleasing before You, please help me to learn how, each day. Please help me to walk with You in all things. Lord, help me to understand Your truth and to hide it in my heart. Lord, show me my errors that I might repent and turn away from the things which would ensnare me. Lord, thank You for guiding me and loving me. Thank You for Your faithfulness, Your mercy, and Your grace. Amen.

No record

1 Corinthians 13:4-7 NKJV — Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

Years ago the Lord took me through a season of “studying” what love is.

Part of that was to break this verse down piece by piece and really work at understanding everything the scriptures said about what love is.

I needed to know, because I was struggling.

I couldn’t see past society’s fake version of love nor the temporary emotions that are often tagged as love.

I knew there was more, so much more, because of Jesus, and I wanted to better understand His love as well as what mine should be.

My study, years ago was with an NIV and this one section jumped to mind recently.

1 Corinthians 13:5 NIV — It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.

“Keeps no record of wrongs”

That had been like a 2×4 upside my head years ago.

The Lord showed me at that time, how I had carefully logged a list of people’s wrongs against me.

I suddenly realized my “praying” for these people was actually me recounting each wrong in order from my list and telling God all about what sad things had happened to me.

Obviously, I wasn’t loving them.

Indeed, I wasn’t praying for them either.

I praise God for His patience and that He showed me my error.

It wasn’t easy nor quick, but the Lord began showing me how to love.

Starting with trashing the lists of wrongs.

When the Lord brought this back to my heart yesterday, it was with great joy.

I’d been praying specifically for a circumstance and this was the answer.

Love keeps no record wrongs, because loving means forgiving.

Matthew 6:14 NKJV — “For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.

Ephesians 4:32 NKJV — And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.

God set the example.

Jesus paid the price.

We should love as He does.

Colossians 3:13 NIV — Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.

Dear Lord Jesus,

Thank You so much for forgiveness! What a priceless gift You have given us, both in Salvation and in life eternal with You. Lord Jesus, thank You for reminding me of this scripture and for bringing back to my heart the importance of forgiveness. Please help me to never make lists of wrongs, but instead choosing to love. Lord, thank You, that You are our righteous judge and that we can look to You and trust You for all things. Lord, please grant me wisdom, that I might be able to know what Your will is for each day. Help me to walk in Your truth at all times. I love You, Jesus. Amen.

Grace like rain…

Matthew 5:43-45 NKJV — “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’. But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.”

God gives us direction in His Word for life and how to live.

Here He instructs us on how to love and give grace.

It’s like the rain, it should fall on everyone.

God makes it clear, we are to remember His grace for us and to extend it to others.

Psalm 145:9 KJV — The LORD is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works.

Of course, like all things God calls us to do, it comes with wisdom and discernment.

Matthew 7:6 NKJV — “Do not give what is holy to the dogs; nor cast your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you in pieces.

Therefore, while walking in God’s grace and mercy, we treasure it for what it is, not trampling or shredding the priceless gift of God: salvation through Jesus Christ.

We also have the privilege to extend the same grace we enjoy to those around us, not exposing others or ourselves to evil and passing it off as good, but instead calling out evil and loving the sinner whose life is being strangled by that same evil.

Because true love, as exampled in Christ Jesus, reaches out to the sinner.

Romans 5:8 KJV — But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Talk about amazing, costly grace!

Jesus paid a high price to extend it to us.

For those of us who enjoy this grace, may we be quick to share it.

God’s grace showered upon us is truly a wonderful blessing.

John 1:17 KJV — For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

Dear Lord Jesus,

Thank You so much for Your awesome gift of grace and mercy. How small is my understanding of what a costly gift it is, but I humbly thank You for it. Lord Jesus, please help me to remain humble before You and to remember that mankind does not see the heart, only You can. It is against the pride ridden nature of my sinful heart to want to extend grace to others, but You call me to love the same as You do. Please, Lord, help me to walk in this and continue to teach my heart Your ways. Lord, thank You for Your faithfulness and love. Thank You for this new day in which to learn more about loving as You do. I love You, Jesus. Amen.

Simply–love

Deuteronomy 6:5 KJV — And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.

God’s Word is clear, we are to love Him.

That our hearts should be devoted to Him first, most, and best.

Because life lived in any other pursuit will lead us astray, into sin, shame, pain, and eventually death eternal.

But for those who love the Lord God, the benefits are incredible.

Psalm 31:23 KJV — O love the LORD, all ye his saints: for the LORD preserveth the faithful, and plentifully rewardeth the proud doer.

Psalm 145:20 KJV — The LORD preserveth all them that love him: but all the wicked will he destroy.

Being preserved by God is indeed a wonderful promise, giving us a place to find rest and peace beyond today’s trouble, past the temporary struggles, and beyond the grave.

Joshua 23:11 KJV — Take good heed therefore unto yourselves, that ye love the LORD your God.

It’s not complicated, love God.

Luke 10:27 KJV — And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.

In loving God, we find another opportunity: loving others.

Because love is a gift meant to be shared.

1 Corinthians 13:4-8 NKJV — Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away.

Love is more than an emotion and far more than any physical pleasure, it is a continued support, care, and nurture.

Romans 12:10 KJV — Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;

Ephesians 4:2 KJV — With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;

Love is what Jesus shows us.

Hebrews 10:24 KJV — And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:

Just as Jesus encouraged the disciples in loving God and loving others, we too can be encouraged in both, and encourage one another.

It’s simple: love.

Love God first, most, and best.

And in doing so love others.

Dear Lord Jesus,

Thank You so much for Your Word. Thank You for loving and guiding each one of us. Lord Jesus, thank You for living a life of love and sacrifice. You are our perfect example in all things and we are so blessed to have Your Word to teach us and Your Spirit to convict us. Please, show me where I need to grow in love. Please let me never weary of doing good, but to increase my efforts in every way to follow You with all that I am. Lord, there is nothing more awesome than You and Your love is amazing. Please continue to guide my heart, speak through Your Word, and show me Your way. Thank You for Your love. Thank You for life. I praise Your holy name Jesus! Amen.

A post for my wife. I love you!

For 8 years my wife has been writing Patiently Hopeful. She has faithfully posted prayers and thoughts from her morning time with our savior Jesus. For the first time since the blogs beginning my wife will not be posting. Today she lies in bed with a migraine and has asked me to write out a prayer. For my wife (Hope) prayer and praise are her life line. Many nights she will be up praying for hours. She has been on her face before the Lord for our children, and myself many times. Therefore this morning when she asked me to write a prayer for her blog due to being ill I felt it not only an honor but a humbling experience to sit behind the keys. With that said though, my apologies to you the reader it is not every day a spouse will allow a post to go up on their personal blog without reviewing what was written. I feel it necessary to seize this opportunity not to only pray but to allow you the reader into our lives a bit. But before that I would also like to thank you all for supporting my wife Hope. Never have I met a person who selflessly serves others with the zeal my wife does. Every like, comment and repost she praises the Lord for.

Job wrote “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return there. The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; Blessed be the name of the Lord.” (Job 1:21) This morning while holding my wife’s hand as she vomited into the toilet this verse came to mind. In between the coughs and tears I could hear her voice praising the Lord for the “tent” she has been given. I have been married to Hope for 23 years. With our first child she had torn her cervix. Going un noticed we left the hospital and went about our business only to have the tear worsen causing a hemorrhage. I was told she would have to stay in the hospital over night due to the loss of blood. “God is good” would be her first words in the morning. In the early years like many money was tight. I think this was the beginning of the prayers in the grocery store. Hope would walk through the isles with a few dollars in the account and pray “Jesus your will be done today, how do I shop for my family”. The Lord would bless us with our second daughter while I was in school and working full time at a local mill. I would leave the house at 3:30am to be to work by 4am work tell 4pm only to drive 40 min to make it to my night classes by 5pm. School would be out at 9-9:30pm and we would start it all over the next day. This lasted for almost four years during that time my wife would be taking care of the kids, running women’s ministry at our church and still find time to write prayers down on note cards. I would find them in my shirts, lunch box, school books, and even in my dressers. We would move to England to help in a church. The Lord would teach us what it meant to be humble. We sold everything we owned with the exception of a vehicle. The house, kids toys, clothes, furniture, was all gone. Landing at the airport in Manchester we had only the clothes in our suitcases and money from the sale of the house. We were not allowed to work in the UK and felt that the Lord did not want us to ask for support. God would show us what it was to wait for his provision. The day we moved into our home in England the tenants before left a kitchen table. Walking in Hope began to cry when asked why by one of our children (we had four by then) she said “I asked God for a table like this a few years ago, it took me selling mine to him to provide this one”. We learned so much in England about the provision and character of God.

When we moved back home the sicknesses came. First the women issues and hysterectomy. At one point in the journey, I would carry my wife into the doctor’s office. She weighed just over 90lbs. She had not been able to keep food down for several days, her cycle would last for weeks, anemic, unable to get out of bed she would need help any time she had to move. Hopes prayers would fill our house. We would sit on the bed as a family, she would have home schooling while laying there helping the kids work out problems. All the while quoting scripture about healing, and Gods goodness. During this time I was starting up a business trying to make ends meet. Hope would be in bed often when I left to go to work and still there when I came home. Bible laying beside her prayer journal open. Hope would get better and take on responsibilities at our church helping with the home schooling co-op. She would pray for each child by name every morning, pray for their families, and for our community. I walked into our room to find Hope staring her clothes in the closet. I asked what she was doing and she said “every day I wake up I ask Jesus what he would like me to wear today, I was just waiting for an answer” As crazy as this sounds to some it has become normal place around our house. Now my adult children do the same!

A few years ago when Hopes heath started to decline and she became bed ridden again due to immune issues and asthma our family made a transition. Before I think we prayed for Hope out of selfishness. My prayers would sound something like “please heal Hope Lord we need mom to be healthy”. But now we pray for understanding what the Lord is doing. Excitement of what God is going to teach us. We pray for the ability to like Job say “blessed be your name”. This bout with illness has been the longest yet. Hope may never be physically whole again. But I know she would never trade it for the relationship she has with the Lord is nothing like I have ever witnessed. Praise God for my wife.

Would you please pray with me?

Lord Jesus,

Thank you for this day. Thank you we have the ability to serve you today. We are not guaranteed tomorrow Lord so today please give us the ability to know what you want us to do. Jesus we want to serve you with our whole hearts today. We are nothing but dust Jesus but you are God. You have the ability to use this dust to glorify our Father in heaven. Jesus I so bad want to do your will and to be selfless in what I do please help me today not to think of myself but to be your hands and feet. Jesus please show me what it is to love. How to love my enemies please show me Jesus today how to be a puzzle piece in this broken world that links some of it together. Jesus today there are many people hurting. Our hearts go out to them I pray that you would be the rock, the foundation in their lives. Jesus please help us to lead the hurting to the rock. Father I am broken over the sin in the world but acknowledge that just as I am broken over it I have also been a part of it please forgive me Father and teach me to forgive. Lord many in the world are sick we ask for healing as we know you can. But we also know that you walked by several people that were sick because it was not their time. Jesus if it is not Hopes time for healing I pray we would be able to endure for your glory. Please show our family what you are doing in the spiritual realm. God I know that all things work together for the good of those called to Christ Jesus. I also know that Hope has been called by you, so we are excited to see what good you are doing with her sickness. Jesus I will praise you today no matter what the outcome of today brings because “Naked I came, Naked I return, but blessed be the name of the Lord” Jesus I love you with all my heart and thank you for what you are doing in our family.

Amen

February 14

Today’s prayer:

Psalm 146:2 NKJV — While I live I will praise the LORD; I will sing praises to my God while I have my being.

Dear Lord Jesus,
Thank You so much for being all we ever need. Lord Jesus, our lives often bring things we do not understand nor do we know how to respond. But You have ever answer. You know all that is and all that will be. Time does not hinder You. Please help each one of us to fully trust You in all we do and all we are. Lord, if there’s anything which is hindering our walk with You please show us. Please help us release all those things we cling to which are not You. Please help us walk with You in integrity and truth. Thank You for always guiding and providing. May Your name be glorified throughout the whole Earth. May our lives bring all honor, all glory, all adoration to You alone. Lord, we lift up the needy, the sick, the hurting, the innocent, the wayward and the lost. God have Your way in their lives. Thank You. Amen.

On a personal note: I pray you feel the love of Jesus Christ on this day set aside to remember those we love.❤️ Happy Valentine’s Day.

“Put your hand on your mouth”

This mouth of which most everyone uses, and is used by, has both great and terrible moments.

The Bible speaks to us clearly to watch our words and be mindful of what we say.

Do not malign a servant to his master, Lest he curse you, and you be found guilty. Proverbs 30:10 NKJV https://bible.com/bible/114/pro.30.10.NKJV

This verse might seem out of date as the average person doesn’t have servants nor do we think in ways of those who serve and those who are served.

But it has not lost it’s truth.

Because the Bible tells us that each person was created by God, and although many do not choose to serve Him, He is the One all will answer to.

Thus, when we speak against another, we are actually speaking against God’s creation.

Therefore, we can easily transgress this verse, because God’s Word is clear:

Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.
Ephesians 4:31‭-‬32 NKJV

God is aware that we are going to struggle in this area of words.

For we all stumble in many things. If anyone does not stumble in word, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle the whole body.
James 3:2 NKJV https://bible.com/bible/114/jas.3.2.NKJV

But knowing it’s going to be so much better that we follow His Word and guard our lips, He gives us many scriptures of encouragement and guidance.

Job 27:4 KJV — My lips shall not speak wickedness, nor my tongue utter deceit.

Psalm 34:13 KJV — Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile.

Psalm 120:2 KJV — Deliver my soul, O LORD, from lying lips, and from a deceitful tongue.

We shall find these words “of Agur the son of Jakeh,”(Proverbs 30:1a) will give us a physical action to help with this troublesome member of the body.

If you have been foolish in exalting yourself, Or if you have devised evil, put  your hand on your mouth.
Proverbs 30:32 NKJV https://bible.com/bible/114/pro.30.32.NKJV

Before we speak our hearts need to be focused on the truths of scripture, but if we find we’ve already said something we shouldn’t it’s not too late to stop.

May we find our guidance in the Lord and His Word for all areas of life, including our speech.

Dear Lord Jesus,

Thank You for Your Word. Thank You for Your understanding of how difficult it is to tame my tongue, to keep the words I speak to those which are edifying and wholesome. Lord, You know it is a heart issue, that often my sinful nature takes offense and thus ugliness grows and often shows itself in my speech. Lord Jesus, I don’t want that. I want to be whole before You and cleansed from all unrighteousness. I know it’s a lifelong process, but I humbly request that You remind me to put my hand over my mouth if I’m tempted to speak words which would be sinful, things which would accuse, times that would sow discord and division. Lord Jesus, You alone know what is best and I submit myself before You. Thank You for this reminder. Thank You for Your patience as I learn. I love You. Amen.

January 17

Today’s prayer:

Psalm 30:8 KJV — I cried to thee, O LORD; and unto the LORD I made supplication.

Dear Lord Jesus,
Thank You for being merciful and compassionate. You understand the innermost parts of ourselves. You look and see the hidden thoughts of our hearts. Your vision is far more perceptive than ours will ever be. Lord Jesus, You know how all things are working. You have every stage of it all in Your hands. Lord, please restore the hurting and the sick. Please touch the needy and comfort the those who mourn. Lord Jesus, the wayward and the proud, let them come to their senses and see the truth. Please, Lord Jesus, change those who think only of themselves and let them see what a waste it is to serve self. Lord Jesus, please break in pieces the yoke of false religion. Please protect the innocent. Please save the lost. Thank You for all Your wonderous works. Thank You for loving us always. Thank You for teaching us how to love others. Lord Jesus, please heal the hearts. Please restore the broken. Thank You for Your faithfulness. Amen.
