James 4:7-8 NKJV — Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
Dear Lord Jesus,
Thank You for Your instructions. Lord, please help us to submit to You wholeheartedly, not to go off in our own ways, making our own plans, living by our own wisdom or the wisdom of mankind. Lord, please guard is from the lies of the enemy which are so crafty, they look and sound like truth. Lord, please help us to purify ourselves before You. Help us to put off the things of this world and to cling to You and Your Word. Lord, please teach us from Your Word through Your Holy Spirit, that our hearts and minds might understand Your ways and walk in Your truths. Lord, we are sinners living in a broken world, thank You for Your salvation. Thank You for Your faithfulness, mercy, love, and grace. Lord Jesus, I praise Your holy name! Thank You for all Your wonderous works. Thank You for sustaining us. Thank You for Your unending love. May the whole Earth be filled with the knowledge of You. Amen.
