Today’s prayer:

I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.
Psalms 34:1 NKJV

Dear Lord Jesus,
Thank You so much for all You have done. Thank You for all You are doing. Lord Jesus, I praise Your holy name and worship You, for You are God. Your works, Your love, Your salvation, all that You have done is amazing. Truly, You are awesome and great is Your name. There is none like You, nor will there ever be. No one deserves honor and glory but You. You alone are worthy of all praise, all honor, all worship, all adoration. Lord Jesus, I love You. I thank You for everything. May the nations rejoice and be filled with the knowledge of You. Amen.

Lord , who may abide in Your tabernacle? Who may dwell in Your holy hill? He who walks uprightly, And works righteousness, And speaks the truth in his heart; He who does not backbite with his tongue, Nor does evil to his neighbor, Nor does he take up a reproach against his friend; In whose eyes a vile person is despised, But he honors those who fear the Lord ; He who swears to his own hurt and does not change; He who does not put out his money at usury, Nor does he take a bribe against the innocent. He who does these things shall never be moved.
Psalms 15:2‭-‬5 NKJV

Dear Lord Jesus,
Thank You for Your Word. Thank You for this Psalm. Lord Jesus, I want to dwell in Your tabernacle. I want to reside in Your holy hill. I want to be honorable before You each and every day. Lord, please make me like this man in Psalm 15. Please place Your truth in my heart and Your Holy Spirit within me, that I might not sin against You. Lord, please help me trust You more. To lean into Your love and to rest completely in You. Lord, please help me to hear Your voice and obey. Lord Jesus, please provide, protect, guide, and direct. Let the whole Earth see the truth. Please let the nations fear You. I love You, Jesus. Thank You for first loving me. I praise You and thank You for Your faithfulness, Your blessings, and Your wonderous works! Amen.

Today’s prayer:

Great peace have those who love Your law, And nothing causes them to stumble.
Psalms 119:165 NKJV

Dear Lord Jesus,
Thank You for Your truth. Lord, thank You for a new day. Lord, we look to You. It is in You we find peace, contentment, and protection. Lord Jesus, we trust You with every area of our lives, our families, and our nation. God be glorified today. Let Your name be praised. Lord bring back truth, integrity, and justice. Please let honor and understanding and righteousness be sought. Let Your Word be remembered. Please let us fill our hearts and minds with Your Word. Help us to recognize anything which would hinder our walk with You and to deal with it quickly. Lord Jesus, You alone are worthy of all praise, glory, and honor. You are holy and Your truth shall withstand all ages. May the glory of the Lord be known throughout the whole Earth. Amen.

Three days before Christmas

For these last few days let’s look at the One whose birthday we are celebrating.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.
John 1:1‭, ‬3‭-‬5 NKJV

The One in a manger was the One at the beginning of creation.

Genesis 1:1 NKJV — In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

Jesus is part of the Trinity and was creating at the beginning of our history.

That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, concerning the Word of life— the life was manifested, and we have seen, and bear witness, and declare to you that eternal life which was with the Father and was manifested to us— that which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is  with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ.
I John 1:1‭-‬3 NKJV

The disciple John does not want anyone to miss the fact that Jesus is the Son of God.

That through Him all things were made and by Him all mankind is saved.

And that he, himself was witness to the truth of the Gospel.

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
I John 1:9 NKJV

Jesus was no mere “good man”, nor was He simply a wise teacher, He was and is God.

His reason for coming to Earth was simple.

Acts 4:12 NKJV — “Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”

Romans 1:16 NKJV — For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.

1 Thessalonians 5:9 NKJV — For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,

It’s the greatest truth of all time.

His birth brought mankind the greatest gift anyone could ever want or need.

His death built a bridge to span the chasm between us and our holy God.

His resurrection brought us hope, a confident expectation of eternal life in Jesus.

He’s the best gift ever.

Dear Lord Jesus,

Thank You so much for all You have done to rescue us from sin. Thank You for being the greatest gift we can ever receive. Lord Jesus, You are the reason we celebrate. It is Your birthday we are remembering. It is You we are looking toward as we make plans and give gifts. Lord Jesus, You alone are the One Who saves us. This Christmas we want to honor You in all we do, in our actions, our attitudes, and our words. We praise Your holy name, Jesus. Amen.

He is Holy

There’s so many things my mind can not comprehend.

One of these is life and creation unmarred by sin.

As beautiful as it all is now, can you imagine what it was like before sin?

I try, but since my entire existence is in sin, I doubt I’m even close.

Yet, God is completely without sin.

He can’t even be near it.

He is Holy.

-wow!-

My heart and mind is so full of how beautiful that is.

Never any sin of any sort.

Nothing.

Completely and totally holy.

Praise God!

Because through His holiness, we have hope.

Hope to be free from sin.

How my heart longs for that day.

To be rid of the striving, the effects of evil, the stain of death,…What a glorious thought!

Each and every day on this Earth is one of constant work, ceaseless battle between the flesh and the Spirit.

But it won’t last forever.

Because God is Holy.

Some day all will answer for their time upon this Earth.

Yet, for every sinful person who has believed upon the Lord Jesus, there is salvation.

Revelation 22:12 NKJV — “And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work.

Revelation 22:13 NKJV — “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.”

Revelation 22:14 NKJV — Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city.

Truly, God’s Holiness is incomprehensible, but I love it.

Don’t you?
