Isaiah 9:6 KJV — For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Dear Lord Jesus,

Thank You for this promise so many years before Your birth. Thank You for fulfilling so many prophecies when You came to earth as a baby born of a virgin. Lord, You are the greatest gift anyone could ever have. You are our Savior, our Refuge, our King, and our Lord. You are preparing a place in Heaven for Your people and it is an exciting promise to think about. Lord, Your truth is life. Your Word is true. Your promises are sure. You are good and we are blessed by You daily. As we prepare our hearts to celebrate Your birth, please help us to be humble. Help us to focus upon You and why we take December 25 off from our normal routine. Please help us keep our hearts centered upon You and Your Word that we might not lose sight of why we do what we do. May our motivation be pure and righteous in Your sight. May our hearts bring You glory and praise. I love You, Jesus. Thank You for Your gift of salvation. I know I can never fully understand what it cost You. In Your name I pray, Jesus. Amen.

Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: But a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised.
Proverbs 31:30 KJV

Dear Lord Jesus,

Thank You for our family. Thank You for the gift of children. Lord, today, I’d like to lift up our daughters and granddaughters. Lord, please hone their hearts. Create in them the desire to be women of worth, virtuous, respectful, full of the knowledge of You and Your Word. Please help them to be honorable in their actions, their words, and their thoughts. Lord, please teach them to take every thought captive and to surrender themselves wholely to You. Lord Jesus, please help them to be wise, discerning, soft spoken, but filled with Your truth. Lord, please keep them from fear, envy, selfishness, slothfulness, and guard them from the lies of the enemy, for Eve was deceived. Lord Jesus, please provide them with the covering of Your Word and the blessings of authority over them. Help them to be kind, thoughtful, loving, modest, diligent, gentle, strong, faithful, and most of all a reflection of You. Thank You for each of them. Thank You for helping me to learn daily from Your Word. Please help me to be these things, I want to be a godly example for our daughters. I love You, Jesus. I ask these things in Your name. Amen.

Isaiah 33:15 NKJV — He who walks righteously and speaks uprightly, He who despises the gain of oppressions, Who gestures with his hands, refusing bribes, Who stops his ears from hearing of bloodshed, And shuts his eyes from seeing evil:
Isaiah 33:16 NKJV — He will dwell on high; His place of defense will be the fortress of rocks; Bread will be given him, His water will be sure.

Dear Lord Jesus,

Thank You for Your Word. Thank You for teaching us the truth, and guiding us in Your ways. Lord, I lift up the men in my life, my husband, our son, our son-in-laws, and our grandson. Lord, please help them to be men who walk uprightly and speak the truth in their hearts. Help them to dedicate themselves to Your service, listening to Your Word and walking in it daily. Lord, please give them direction, discernment, knowledge, and understanding. Let their hearts trust in You in all things. Please help them to surrender themselves first to You and then in service to their families, and those You place in their lives. Please make them true, full of integrity, humble, teachable, and courageous. Let their lives be a reflection of Yours. Thank You. In Your name I ask these things, Jesus. Amen.

1 Samuel 1:26-28 NKJV — And she said, “O my lord! As your soul lives, my lord, I am the woman who stood by you here, praying to the LORD. “For this child I prayed, and the LORD has granted me my petition which I asked of Him. Therefore I also have lent him to the LORD; as long as he lives he shall be lent to the LORD.” So they worshiped the LORD there.

Dear Lord Jesus,

Thank You for Your Word. Thank You for so many people throughout history who have obeyed You and walked in Your ways. Lord, thank You for the men and women who are within Your Word that encourage my faith. I know You are guiding and directing our family. I know Your ways are perfect. I trust You in all things. Thank You for loving us so well. Thank You for watching over us so completely. May my heart always look to You first and be humble before You. For You alone are God Almighty and there is no other God but You. Thank You for the incredible truth of Your trinity, even though I don’t understand it. I love that You are walking with me in each day. Lord, as I look forward to the future, please help me to hear Your voice and walk in Your ways at all times. Lord, do not allow me to wander from Your precepts, as I never want to be walking in sin. Thank You, Lord, for all Your blessings. May Your name be glorified today. I love You, Jesus. Amen.

“No one is holy like the Lord, For there is none besides You, Nor is there any rock like our God.
I Samuel 2:2 NKJV

Dear Lord Jesus,

Thank You for Your Word which gives us such clear truth and straightforward wisdom. Lord, it is in Your Word we find such blessings as the testimony of Your faithfulness in the lives of those who came before us. Lord, there is no rock like You. You alone are our refuge and strength. In God alone shall I place my trust. Thank You for being my Savior, Redeemer, and Friend. Thank You for being my strength and guiding me continually. Thank You for walking with us as we learn to lean upon You for all things. Lord, please strengthen those who are sick and hurting, bring them peace and comfort. Please keep Your people upon Your paths of truth and let them reflect Your light in this dark world. Lord, for those who have yet to know You, please soften their hearts and open their understanding. Lord, for those serving You at home and abroad, please be their all, protect them, provide for them, and supply all they need. Thank You, Jesus. Amen.

“These things I have spoken to you, that you should not be made to stumble. They will put you out of the synagogues; yes, the time is coming that whoever kills you will think that he offers God service. And these things they will do to you because they have not known the Father nor Me. John 16:1‭-‬3 NKJV

Dear Lord Jesus,

Thank You for Your Word. Thank You for this warning. Lord, right now there are people persecuting Your followers thinking they are doing a service. It breaks my heart, I can only imagine what You must feel about it. Lord, You know those who do these things do not know You nor the Father. Lord, I lift up those who suffer persecution. Lord, for those who have lost homes, loved ones, and even been physically harmed. Lord, please comfort and strengthen them. Please provide for their needs and bring them to an awareness of Your Word even more fully than before. Lord, for all those who suffer persecution, please guide and direct them. Help them to be steadfast and filled with Your Holy Spirit. Lord, thank You for the wisdom, the warning, the comfort, and the love we find in Your Word. Lord, please help us to be patient, wise, understanding, and faithful, especially in prayer that we might not forget those who are suffering. Thank You, Jesus, for the blessings You have given us daily. Thank You for Your love. May our lives bring glory to Your name, Jesus. Amen.

When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, The moon and the stars, which You have ordained, What is man that You are mindful of him, And the son of man that You visit him?
Psalms 8:3‭-‬4 NKJV

Dear Lord Jesus,

Thank You! I love this Psalm, it blesses my heart. Thank You for the universe around us, vast and innumerable are Your works, yet You care about mankind. You know the very number of our hairs. You work in and through Your creation continually to draw people to Yourself. Your very creation testifies to us about You. The order of seasons, the rotation of the Earth and Moon, the intricate details of how our cells duplicate,…the list goes on. You are indescribable and I’m so thankful. Lord, may Your name be glorified through me this day. I love You, Jesus. Amen.

“Blessed are the poor in spirit, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are those who mourn, For they shall be comforted. Blessed are the meek, For they shall inherit the earth. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, For they shall be filled. Blessed are the merciful, For they shall obtain mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart, For they shall see God. Blessed are the peacemakers, For they shall be called sons of God. Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven. “Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
Matthew 5:3‭-‬12 NKJV

Dear Lord Jesus,

Thank You for Your Word. Thank You for the promises You give us. Thank You for Your faithfulness. Lord, as we prepare to set a day aside for the giving of thanks and the celebration of Your blessings, may we not forget to lift up those who are struggling in prayer, nor come before You without first confessing our sins to You. Lord Jesus, thank You for Your many blessings. Thank You for the abundance of things we enjoy even in times of recession. Lord, thank You for teaching us about the kingdom of heaven and being our Redeemer that we, through belief in You, might become citizens of that kingdom. Whatever our status, whatever is before us, may we not neglect the gratitude owed to You for Your great redemption! I love You, Jesus. Thank You for all You are doing each day. Please be with those who mourn, those who are suffering, those who are sick. Please help us to live in such a way as to bring glory to Your name. Amen.

Dear Lord Jesus,

This Psalm is my prayer today.

Praise is awaiting You, O God, in Zion; And to You the vow shall be performed. O You who hear prayer, To You all flesh will come. Iniquities prevail against me; As for our transgressions, You will provide atonement for them. Blessed is the man You choose, And cause to approach You, That he may dwell in Your courts. We shall be satisfied with the goodness of Your house, Of Your holy temple. By awesome deeds in righteousness You will answer us, O God of our salvation, You who are the confidence of all the ends of the earth, And of the far-off seas; Who established the mountains by His strength, Being clothed with power; You who still the noise of the seas, The noise of their waves, And the tumult of the peoples. They also who dwell in the farthest parts are afraid of Your signs; You make the outgoings of the morning and evening rejoice. You visit the earth and water it, You greatly enrich it; The river of God is full of water; You provide their grain, For so You have prepared it. You water its ridges abundantly, You settle its furrows; You make it soft with showers, You bless its growth. You crown the year with Your goodness, And Your paths drip with abundance. They drop on the pastures of the wilderness, And the little hills rejoice on every side. The pastures are clothed with flocks; The valleys also are covered with grain; They shout for joy, they also sing. Psalms 65:1‭-‬13 NKJV

I have glorified You on the earth. I have finished the work which You have given Me to do.
John 17:4 NKJV

Dear Lord Jesus,

Thank You for finishing the work You were sent to do and not only taught us about the Father, while living a life of perfect example, You died to save us from our sins and rose again, ascending into Heaven to prepare a place for us! What an incredible work! With all this, You tirelessly work in the lives and hearts of people through Your Holy Spirit. Thank You! May our lips praise You, today. May our tongues sing praises to You for all Your wonderous works. Lord Jesus, thank You for Who You are and what You are doing, what You have done, and what You will do on our behalf. I thank You and praise You, Jesus! Amen.
