Psalm 51:7 KJV — Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.

Dear Lord Jesus,

Thank You for this beautiful picture of how clean You make me on the inside. Lord, thank You for Your sacrifice which pays my debt and cleanses me. Lord Jesus, there is no one who can wash my soul clean and restore me to a right relationship with You other than You. For You are my Savior. It is through Your works I am redeemed and set free from the habits of sin and destruction. Lord, no other name can save but Your’s. No other path leads to eternal life save Your’s. Let me be mindful of Your goodness, Your grace, Your salvation, and Your love daily. Bring me to remembrance of Your incredible works and encourage my heart through Your Word. Lord, thank You! Your words are life. Your works are amazing. You are God and I worship You this day. Make me more like You everyday, cleanse me completely from sin that I might live wholeheartedly unto You. Thank You, Jesus. In Your name I pray. Amen.

Psalm 31:1 KJV — To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. In thee, O LORD, do I put my trust; let me never be ashamed: deliver me in thy righteousness.

Dear Lord Jesus,

Thank You for Your Word and the truth, the comfort, the instruction! How grateful I am to You for the gifts I find daily in Your Word. Lord, these words of David are my prayer: I put my trust in You, Jesus. I know it’s Your salvation which brings me into relationship with You and grants me citizenship into Heaven. Lord, please keep me from shame through application of Your Word to my life. I do not want to sin against You or anyone else. Lord, correct me if I have hidden anything ungodly within my heart. Show me my errors in perspective and guide me in Your truth. Lord, please deliver me from my sin through Your righteousness, both now and forever. I want to bring You glory, honor, and praise. I know that I cannot allow sin in my heart and bring You glory. Only through the washing of Your Word can I be made clean enough to reflect Your light to those around me, that they might look upon my good works and glorify You. Jesus, I am Your servant, please make me into Your image today. Thank You, Jesus. Amen.

If thou faint in the day of adversity, Thy strength is small. Proverbs 24:10 KJV

Dear Lord Jesus,

Thank You for Your Word. Thank You for this verse. I so appreciate Your reminder that we will face adversity, but I need not be afraid nor dismayed, for You are with me. What can mankind do to me if my soul is safe in You? Lord Jesus, for those who are facing persecution, for those who are in danger of their lives for Your sake, please bring them strength and endurance. Please comfort them and bring them courage. Lord for those who have allowed the enemy to mine away their passion for You, let them be convicted and repent, turning to Your Word for direction and guidance. Let them see Your truth and know the way they should go. Do not allow Your people to be overcome by fear of man, but instead be steadfast in Your truth, Your promises, and Your faithfulness. Lord, let those who know You become more like You each day, humble, loving, strong in righteousness, and faithful even to death. Lord, thank You for Your blessings. Thank You for Your great rewards, for Your way is the only way to eternal life and You have given us such incredible blessings through Your sacrifice and resurrection! In Your name I humbly ask these things. Amen.

Also in the third year of his reign he sent to his princes, even to Ben-hail, and to Obadiah, and to Zechariah, and to Nethaneel, and to Michaiah, to teach in the cities of Judah. And with them he sent Levites, even Shemaiah, and Nethaniah, and Zebadiah, and Asahel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehonathan, and Adonijah, and Tobijah, and Tob-adonijah, Levites; and with them Elishama and Jehoram, priests. And they taught in Judah, and had the book of the law of the LORD with them, and went about throughout all the cities of Judah, and taught the people. 2 Chronicles 17:7‭-‬9 KJV

Dear Lord Jesus,

Thank You for Your Word. Thank You for this encouraging example of a leader who loved You and his kingdom so much that he sent Levites to the people to teach them from Your Word. Lord, I am inspired by this ruler’s enthusiasm for Your Word. Lord, although our leaders do not encourage our citizens in Your Word, we are very blessed to hear Your scriptures and we enjoy many dedicated people who teach Your ways to us. Lord, thank You for our pastors and leadership. Thank You for others we know of. Lord, please strengthen them as they serve You. Please supply all they need and continue to bring them encouragement through Your Word and Your Holy Spirit. Lord Jesus, for those who are serving You in other ways, through their occupation or through their leadership as husbands, wives, parents, or students, please continue to supply all they need. Bring them strength and endurance. Let them hear and understand Your Word and find comfort in it. Lord, please, speak to our hearts and lead us in the way of righteousness for Your name sake. I ask these things in Your name that You might be glorified throughout the Earth. Amen.

Psalm 46:10 NKJV — Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!

Dear Lord Jesus,

Thank You for Your Word. I am in awe of how You speak so clearly to my heart through Your Word. Thank You for reminding me to be still, to focus my thoughts upon You and who You are. Thank You for reminding me that You will be exalted among the nations and in all the earth. What is there to be afraid of when my soul is secure through Your salvation? How ridiculous it is to allow temporary things to rob me of my eternal perspective! Lord, thank You for showing me my error! Please continue to teach me how to be still, to practice quieting myself before You. Lord, thank You for Your blessings, for Your provisions, and most of all for Your love. Rejoice not when thine enemy falleth, And let not thine heart be glad when he stumbleth: Lest the LORD see it, and it displease him, And he turn away his wrath from him.
Proverbs 24:17‭-‬18 KJV

Dear Lord Jesus,

Thank You for Your Word. Lord, please help me to remember not to be glad, even when the wicked receives their just punishment. For all mankind was created by You, every person is created in Your image, thus I shouldn’t be happy when people choose evil and the consequences of that choice. Lord, rather, help me to be understanding when I see wickedness increase, recalling Your Word and what is ultimately awaiting those who refuse Your salvation. Lord, help me to hate sin, but never to grow callous to those who fall into it and the destruction they are bringing upon themselves. Lord, please let those who are abusing others for their own gain feel the consequences of their wicked and turn away from such things. Please help those of us who know You to live in such a way as to stand firm in Your statues, but never stop sharing Your name and the gift of salvation. Lord, help me to know how to speak the truth with love. Thank You. Amen.
