Wait on the LORD: Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD. Psalm 27:14 KJV
Dear Lord Jesus,
Thank You for Your faithfulness. Thank You for Your peace. Lord, I love that You tell us to wait upon You. You didn’t create us and then sit back and watch, expecting us to “figure it out”, rather You sent Your messengers, You gave us Your laws, and then You came and walked among us, teaching, healing, exhorting, and finally dieing for us. Then, You rose from the dead, making history and changing our understanding permanently. No longer did people have to fear, for salvation was and is available to all who would believe. Lord, You didn’t even stop there. You went to Heaven to prepare a place for us. You sent Your Holy Spirit to comfort, guide, and direct us through Your Word. You call to us daily, for creation testifies of You continually. Throughout our lives, You are honing us, through the washing of the Word. Lord Jesus, You alone are worthy of all praise, honor, and glory! It is no wonder You say, “wait on the LORD” for only through Your direction can we walk in Your ways. Only in a continual relationship with You can we find peace and perspective. Only in You can we understand what You are calling us to in today. Lord, I wait upon You this morning and I thank You for all Your wonderous works. I love You, Jesus. Amen.
