“Who do you live for?”

It’s a simple question.

But how one answers has profound effects into their future.

As I was praying this morning, seeking God’s wisdom and direction, He softly spoke.

Who do you live for?

I answered immediately:

“You, Lord.”

And in that truth came the clear direction for the circumstance I’d been praying over.

For the truth of my allegiance brought clarity on the circumstance.

My peace returned.

My identity safe in the knowledge of my salvation through Christ.

My understanding broadened.

Each of us must choose who we are living for daily, sometimes, moment by moment.

For those who testify to Christ’s lordship, our perspective should be one honed by His Word.

John 12:26 KJV — If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.

The servant of Christ is a follower, one who knows the Father’s Word, surrenders to His will, and is blessed by Him.

Who do you serve?

I pray it’s Jesus Christ; Son of the living God, whose ministry is written in the Gospels, and whose life fulfilled the Old Testament prophecies of the Messiah, who died and rose again that we might have hope.

Patiently wait for His return while humbly obeying Him in the task at hand.

God bless you!
