“He obviously loves you!”

It came in a text this morning.

A dear friend and prayer partner had texted me this morning with a prayer which was exactly what I needed.

It focused on God’s love for me.

I really needed to be reminded of that, because I’ve been struggling some.

My health hasn’t been good for several days and I have not been able to get things done.

Being in the middle of unpacking as well as preparing for the holidays makes it very difficult for me to take it easy and allow myself the rest I need.

The struggle has been mostly due to the enemy.

As a child I believed a lie that my personal value was dependent upon my performance.

Thankfully, God exposed this lie and has redeemed my heart by teaching me the truth.

Unfortunately, it still remains an area of weakness for me, especially when I’m not just unable to do things, but instead requiring others to do for me.

But the Lord has been teaching me so much through these moments of struggle.

First, to be careful what thoughts I’m holding on to.

Second, to praise Him throughout my day, no matter what it brings.

Which was the second sentence in that text.

“Praise Him!!”

So, that’s what I’m doing!

Psalm 7:17 KJV — I will praise the LORD according to his righteousness: and will sing praise to the name of the LORD most high.

Psalm 9:1 KJV — To the chief Musician upon Muthlabben, A Psalm of David. I will praise thee, O LORD, with my whole heart; I will shew forth all thy marvellous works.

Psalm 30:12 KJV — To the end that my glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give thanks unto thee for ever.

Dear Lord Jesus,

Thank You so much for Your love! Jesus, thank You for the faithfulness of a friend. Lord, please continue to renew my heart and my mind that I might not fall prey to the lies of the enemy. Lord Jesus, thank You for the innumerable ways You show me everyday that You love me. Thank You it was never dependent upon my performance, but was always due to Your precious gift. Lord, thank You that Your blessings are more numerous than the stars in the sky, the sand on the seashore. Thank You that You have a purpose in each day and I need not fret or be afraid, for You are with me. Thank You for Your righteousness which I am clothed in because of Your sacrifice. I praise Your holy name, Jesus! Amen.
