Dear Lord Jesus,
Thank You for the faith of these verses. Lord, thank You for the truth so clearly spoken. No matter the circumstances, no matter the lack of what is “necessary”, You are worthy of all our praise. For if we have little or much, it is from You. If we are sick or well, our lives belong to You and we can praise You. If we live or die, our days belong to You. You are the Author of every single one, and we can praise You for each. Then, because of Your salvation, we can praise You in heaven for eternity! Lord, thank You for the truth of these words: “Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation.” Lord, please help us to realize the depth of their meaning and teach us how to live by faith. Lord, my life is Yours. My family is Yours. My friends are Yours. Do with each of us as seems best to You and help us to praise You throughout. Thank You, Jesus. Amen.
