If it had not been the LORD who was on our side, now may Israel say; If it had not been the LORD who was on our side, when men rose up against us: Then they had swallowed us up quick, When their wrath was kindled against us: Then the waters had overwhelmed us, The stream had gone over our soul: Then the proud waters, Had gone over our soul. Blessed be the LORD , Who hath not given us as a prey to their teeth. Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: The snare is broken, and we are escaped. Our help is in the name of the LORD , Who made heaven and earth. Psalm 124:1-8 KJV
In the past two weeks we have had two family members visit the ER, our last daughter leave home to help family, our neighbors have a scare, and a few other “unexpected” moments.
Today, I am exhausted.
And overwhelmed by God and His love.
Through it all we have had peace.
Not always calm, but always peace.
Because our help is in the name of the LORD.
Truly, there is no security like the security our souls find in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
He is so good!
He is so faithful!
Hebrews 13:5-6 NKJV — Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” So we may boldly say: “The LORD is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?”
Dear Lord Jesus,
Thank You. Your faithfulness is incredible. No matter the circumstances, You have walked us through. How my heart is overflowing with gratitude. May others see Your mighty works and praise Your holy name. Thank You, Lord for all Your faithfulness! Thank You for Your Word and Your direction. Thank You for Your blessings. May the whole Earth be filled with the knowledge of the glory of You. Amen.
