Completely blessed

This little beauty is hanging happily from my birthday present.

No, not this year’s birthday, last year’s.

My son-in-law made me a bench with a trellis which spans the entire thing.

I was so surprised when he and our daughter delivered it and it was so heavy he had to have a friend help him place it.

And I love it.

It is covered in this beautiful rose which trails from both sides of the bench.

I have two pots with the same plant on either side.

Nope, I have no idea what the rose is.

When we moved here I was out walking and noticed an overgrown bush of some sort entangled with grass and looking mostly dead.

At first I ignored it.

Not really close enough to the house to figure out what it was.

Then it bloomed.

It has the tiniest little flowers which bud pink and bloom mostly white.

The following winter I cut it back, dug it up, and separated it.

I ended up with three plants which were placed in different locations which didn’t bloom, because I mistakenly thought it was a mounding rose.

Nope, it sent long shoots out all over the ground.

Opps!

It’s a climbing rose.

So when I received my gift I knew what I was going to plant on it.

And this is only one of the many buds which are promising to decorate the entire trellis.

What a complete blessing!

Both trellise-bench and the roses were gifts.

Both remind me of the goodness of God.

The plants were obviously someone’s flowers which were left to themselves for many years.

The bench was especially created to bless me by my family.

I see God in each.

It is through His love that our daughter and son-in-law are in love.

It is through His care that a forgotten plant would survive to be a blessing.

It is through God every good gift comes.

And yes,

I’m completely

blessed.
