“Some trust in chariots, and some in horses;
But we will remember the name of the LORD our God.” Psalm 20:7 NKJV
It is evident.
Throughout history and today’s culture it is easy to watch what people place their trust in.
Because what one trusts in is where their lives are.
And all the details of each person’s trust is tested when trials or hardship comes.
At those times,
when life is painful,
a person’s true trust comes into focus.
Here is where the Psalmist draws the line.
“But we will remember the name of the LORD our God.” Psalm 20: 7b NKJV
Which is the answer.
For those who know the name of the LORD and who call Him “our God” it is a reminder.
Remember His name.
Remember His words.
Remember Who He is and always shall be.
For those who have yet to know it is a call to seek.
Dig deeper into God’s Word.
Search and look and listen throughout the pages of the Gospels for the name.
Because there is no other name:
“Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” Acts 4:12 NKJV
I know Your name, but I also understand how little I truly know You. There is so much I still have to learn and there’s so much stiffnecked stubbornness still to be honed for Your glory inside my heart. Please continue to teach me and do not allow me to place my trust anywhere else. I choose this day to focus on and remember Your name. I want to walk in the knowledge of You today. Please guide my steps. Thank You for being salvation.
