To those who enjoyed a feast and family
I hope you were able to give thanks.
Not just to the cook
or the one who welcomed you in
or to the nation that reminds us to celebrate
but to
HIM.
The One who made us and who deserves all thanks.
The One who called a group of people to leave their land, their families, and sail west.
The One who provided for that same group of people in many ways.
The One who has preserved our nation through war, terrorism, and corruption.
But more importantly the One who sent HIs son to die on the cross.
Our Savior, who stands beside the throne of heaven and intercedes for us.
I hope you were able to give thanks to God Most HIgh, and His son Jesus Christ.
“Make a joyful shout to the LORD, all you lands! Serve the LORD with gladness;
Come before His presence with singing.
Know that the LORD, He is God;
It is He who made us, and not ourselves;
We are His people and the sheep of His pasture,
Enter into His gates with thanksgiving
And His courts with praise.
Be thankful to HIm, and bless His name.
For the LORD is good;
HIs mercy is everlasting,
And His truth endures to all generations.”
Ps. 100
With all my heart I can say:
“Thank you LORD, for all You have done
from the beginning until now and on into eternity!”
